Cupcakes are a classic baked-good perfect for any coffee shop. The main issue many coffee shops run into is how messy cupcakes can be. Transporting them, displaying them, and your customers eating them. There's a simple and elegant solution to this problem: Cupcake Cups!
What You'll Need:
1. Make Your Cupcakes
Prepare your cake mix as directed and pour it into your greased cupcake pan. Only fill each cupcake halfway. It'll be much easier to get the cupcakes into the cups if they're flatter. You don't need cupcake liners because your customers will be eating these straight from the cup. Bake your cupcakes as directed and allow them to cool completely.
(Expert tip: when using boxed cake mix, add a couple of tablespoons more oil than it calls for. This will make your cupcakes much more moist!)
2. Assemble Your Cups
Once your cupcakes have cooled completely and you've prepared your frosting, you can start assembling your cupcake cups. Start by adding a cupcake to the bottom of your cup. Pipe a layer of frosting on top of that. Add your sprinkles on top of that. Place your second cupcake on your frosting layer. Pipe frosting over that. Finish with your sprinkles.
3. The Presentation
After assembling your cups, top them with their lids. You may want to add a label to each cup with the flavor. After this, you're ready to sell them!
Strawberry Cheesecake: Strawberry cake, cream cheese frosting, and graham crackers.
Snickers Bar: Chocolate cake, vanilla frosting, and Snickers pieces.
S'mores: Chocolate cake, marshmallow frosting, and graham crackers.
Cupcake cups are a great way to sell cupcakes without the mess. They're easy to transport, make, and sell. They're a great bakery option for your coffee shop!
